During the course of its history, the United States has taken foreign policy actions that have been consistent with the national interest.
During the course of its history, the United States has taken foreign policy actions that have been consistent with the national interest. The Marshal plan provided a vivid example of how U.S. aid could serve the ends of both economic and foreign policy. The aid helped countries that desperately needed assistance. The prosperity it stimulated  then helped the American economy by increasing trades. Finally the good relationships that the aid created worked against the expansion of communism. http://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/marshall-plan
The U.S. became part of WW1 because they supplied Britain with its weapons and raw materials while they were supplying their weapons it was causing harm with dramatic numbers of deaths the U.S. ( Woodrow Wilson ) forced a progressive movement as it sought to bring reform and democracy to the world so people could have a freedom of speech and voting rights.
Marshall Plan, the events that lead up to this was the bombing that was in europe and they made the Marshall Plan so they wont become communists and so they can get jobs and money.            Progressive movement, the events that lead up to this was the lack of the government giving back to the people and lack of idea's that the government was providing, as in it wasn't giving people enough money and jobs.
In conclusion the united states entry in ww1 and implementation of the Marshall plan at the end of ww2 were both foreign policy actions that were consistent with the national interest.
