Community Service

Fowler high school for Mr. Gillette, they serve to help kids graduate. they provide there services Mon-Friday. They provide there services in Fowler high school. They are needed to help kids graduate and move on to college.

Fowler High School recognizes that each student is an individual; that all students are creative; that all students need to succeed. Therefore, Fowler High School respects the individual needs of students; fosters a caring and creative environment; and emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, intellectual development of each student.

III.  Description of the specific tasks you performed for he organization or individual


  This special ed. class I went to for community service was very difficult but interesting.
My first day I introduced my self to everyone, they were working on a photosynthesis packet about diffusion and osmosis and i help 2 kids out with the packet. The second day it was calm and collective people were having conversations doing work. By the 5th,6th, and 7th day when the have gotten comfortable with me people were very chatty and hot headed it was almost an fight between an boy and a girl, the teacher wasn't there that day so i had to help out with the disagreement and break them up. as i was there for the week i noticed that job is very hard and you have to have a lot of patients with these kids and if you don't show you can dominance you can be bullied/these kids will get under your skin and make your day a living hell.

At first they were happy to see me, they introduced themselves to me and it seemed as soon as they've gotten comfortable with me they have turned back into them selves.

I made a difference to help the teacher he was happy he had extra help but to the students I don't think I  made a difference. I think every little thing you do it'll make an impact no matter how small you think it is it'll change over time.i would recommend this community service its a good challenging experience to all kids which I think they should have a challenge.
